AGING SPIRITS & WINE IN A BARREL
Add any spirit (liquor) or red wine to the oak aging barrel. Let it age to acquired taste. This may be a few days, weeks or months so you should taste test it often, but the smaller barrels age faster because of the increased surface area to volume ratio. The longer it’s aged in the oak aging barrel the better your spirits become. Your oak aging barrel will age spirits or wine in one to two months what it takes a 55 gallon oak aging barrel a year to age. Nothing ages in a bottle, only in a charred oak aging barrel
MAKING YOUR OWN WHISKEY OR RUM
Pour most of a 750ml bottle of grain alcohol, neutral vodka or swish alcohol into the barrel. Add 1 bottle of Essence (per 750ml of vodka) and fill the barrel with the remaining alcohol. SHAKE WELL to mix thoroughly. It's best when aged for 2 or more weeks but if you can't wait... DRINK NOW!
