This 8" Bodhran has the Brosna Cross pattern in stunning color!
Today the majority of these drums are used in religious or cultural festivals but this Celtic drum got its start in agriculture. The farm workers would pour grain into the hollow section of the Bodhran and the wind would blow the shells out and leave the heavy grain behind. After the harvest they would then use it for musical entertainment.
Bodhrans are also called Celtic drum or Irish drum.
